Catherine Writes for the Ninety-Nines

[caption id="attachment_1388" align="alignleft" width="300" caption="Click to Download PDF"][/caption] Back in April 2010, Catherine Woods, while enroute from Hong Kong to London, took a break from her professional life to earn her Private Pilot Certificate. She spent four weeks with us flying around sunny Southern California and passed her checkride with flying colors. We're very glad that she was pleased with her experience as she wrote about it for an international aviation organization called the Ninety-Nines. Founded in 1929 by 99 licensed women aviators (of which Amelia Earhart was the first president), the Ninety-Nines is an organization dedicated not only to the advancement of women in aviation, but also aviation as a whole. The Ninety-Nines today remains one of the most active organizations in flying, frequently offering safety seminars and guest speakers (men are allowed to attend, of course!) for minimal fees.
